SAN FRANCISCO — Kevon Looney hesitated to look at his phone before Game 1 of the Golden State Warriors’ playoff series against the Sacramento Kings last spring. He knew a slew of text messages from his AAU coaches, Ward Jenkins and Shelby Parrish, awaited him.“Don’t let (Domantas) Sabonis kick your (expletive) again,” Looney recalls the texts saying.
