Just as importantly, I’ve seen Alex up close as a community leader, housing champion and responsive public servant. In 2013, while he was working for our county representative, I casually suggested to him the county should do a gun buyback event. I was pleasantly surprised when he took action, working with then-Supervisor Ken Yeager, the district attorney and the Sheriff’s Office to eliminate 1,100 guns from our community in one day.He is running for the right reasons and with the right vision on key issues like homelessness, public safety and housing affordability.District 6 needs Alex.
