NEW YORK (AP) — Fox News said Monday it has “agreed to part ways” with Tucker Carlson, its popular and controversial host, less than a week after settling a lawsuit over the network's 2020 election reporting.The network said in a press release that the last program of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” aired Friday.“We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor,” the press release from the network said.Carlson became Fox’s most popular personality after replacing Bill O’Reilly in Fox’s prime-time lineup in 2016. A string of violence across Miami-Dade and Broward has communities on edge as another shooting that occurred in Hallandale Beach left one person injured and another dead.Several detectives and police officers were at the scene at the Beachwalk Hotel Sunday night, a luxury hotel and resort located at 2602 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd., as they searched the third floor of the parking garage where the shots were fired.According to officials, a man and a woman were shot leading to the woman’s demise. Crews worked to put out a fire at a South Florida home.Hollywood Fire Rescue responded to a reported house fire at 2539 Wiley Street, Monday afternoon. 7Skyforce hovered over the scene where smoke was seen coming from the front and rear of the home. Residents in the community called 911 to report a house next door that was on fire. One person came out of the home without a shirt and had blood on their head and hands. The Walt Disney Co. will be laying off several thousand employees this week, a second round of cuts that’s part of a previously announced plan to eliminate 7,000 jobs this year.The latest employee releases will take place Monday through Thursday, according to Disney officials. The company will have reached approximately 4,000 job cuts when factoring in both the first and second rounds of layoffs.The job eliminations are taking place across various business segments, including entertainment, ESPN, parks, experiences and products. Police in Lawrence are investigating an overnight shooting at a nightclub that left one man wounded, while another victim appeared at a hospital soon afterwards.Lawrence Police Detective Thomas M.
